GRUPPO GUIDE ALPINE CORTINA have been leading trips through the Dolomites as far back as the early 1400s, when the Venetian Republic hired local trekkers to map out an official route along the Austrian-Venetian border. Eventually, those guides led pleasure trips as well, gaining such renown for their skill that in 1865, the Austrian state officially authorized the discipline of Alpine Guide. Today, the twenty-eight UIAGM-certified guides of Gruppo Guide Alpine Cortina proudly carry on that Alpine tradition.With more than a hundred years of experience and knowledge in the Dolomites and surrounding mountains, the company specializes in custom climbing, mountaineering, and related mountain sports adventures for children and adults of every age.
