Borgo Lucignanello

Borgo Lucignanello comprises five two-bedroom houses and a five-bedroom farmhouse located in the hilltop hamlet of Lucignano d'Asso in the southernmost tip of Tuscany about a half hour from Siena.  The hamlet epitomizes Tuscan country charm with its gold and rose-hued stone, two churches, quaint piazzas, vineyards and olive groves, and breathtaking views overlooking the Orcia Valley and the Crete Senesi. Everything needed to eat simply but well is provided at the local alimentary: fresh cheese, prosciutto, vegetables, fruit, bread, pastas, olive oil and local wines.

Our Family Loved Most: Spectacular views from the hillside infinity pool. On-site "olive store" where you can purchase award-winning cold-pressed extra virgin olive oil made from olives grown on the family property.
Rooms: Four of the houses, Casa Amadeo, Casa Remo, Casa Clemintina, and Casa Severino, sleep 4-6; Casa Maria, the "honeymoon suite" is recommended for 2 persons, but will sleep 3; the Casale Sarageto farmhouse sleeps up to 8.
Food: Small store inside the farmhouse sells local olives oils and other products; osteria serving light snacks; country store in the hamlet.

Special Features: Infinity swimming pool; scooter and mountain bike rentals; business services to include computer, photocopier, and fax machine; laundry and iron service; informal cooking classes by local housewives; hunting and mushroom gathering expeditions in winter; small pets welcome.
